A series of Dodge ads will be released in partnership with Universal Studios to promote the upcoming Fate of the Furious film, opening on April 14 and starring Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, and Dwayne Johnson. Dodge and Universal will also co-produce social media posts and other digital content, as well as licensed products.
The Fast & Furious franchise heavily features Dodge performance cars, including the Dodge Charger and Challenger, particularly the SRT. The ad spots feature actors from the film walking into a garage filled with Dodge performance cars and calling it heaven, then taking them for a spin on a high-speed chase, while the voiceover proclaims Dodge “Fast and Furious tested and approved.” Check out the commercial here on Dodge’s website.
Chief Marketing Officer of FCA Global Olivier Francois says the Fast & Furious franchise “provides a natural extension” to showcase Dodge’s performance vehicles to car-loving moviegoers and went on to say, “The best co-branded promotional spots are those in which the world of the Fast & Furious films and our world merge” to create unique, creative content.
